Fun Week at Snow

This week was really enjoyable. I recently joined the club S.O.S. which stand for Students on Service. We randomly do an act of service each week. This past week we raked leaves for someone. I love the feeling of helping people, let alone having fun in the leaves!

This week was also Homecoming! Snow College knows how to party. The week was filled with activities for the students. The game was on Saturday. Snow won. GO BADGERS!

Me and Tay Tay:

The beautiful view from the stadium. Our team is #1!

Buster Badger!

Halloween is just around the corner! I am having withdrawals this year being away from This Is The Place. I miss it, but my roommates know how to decorate! This is Ed. He hangs from our balcony. I love Ed.

My beautiful roommates (well two of the seven of them). Koye, me, and Alycia (left to right):

This year Snow College is doing a production of The Forgotten Carols. I tried out! I find out tomorrow if I made the cast! Wish me luck!

Sam's Blessing

Here are some pictures from Sam's Blessing!

My best friends!

The little guy sleeping:

Robbie boy. He and his beard. It is funny how much he loves that thing.

The love of my life, yep he is a nerd. He doesn't look to great in this picture either.....

This one is much better. I love him.

The beautiful mother, my bestest best friend. I'm so proud of her and all that she continues to accomplish. She is an amazing mother, wife, and friend.

Sam's head is as big as Rob's fist. We thought it was funny.

Our little Elvis man...

His laugh is SO cute. He giggles then hums and makes this face.

His tails. I love his tux. Got to love a baby in a tux.

Just like any guy, he wanted out of his suit right after church got out. I love SAM!!!!

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men......

They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous..

They fight for what they believe in...

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

It is that they forget their worth.

May the Force be with you

I am SO excited because I have an amazing opportunity to be singing in the Star Wars in concert at the Energy Solutions Arena. (Click the link....you know you want to.)

I have always told myself I want to sing John Williams one day. Next Friday is that day!! We are singing Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes. It is such a privilege that this select choir from Snow College, little Snow, got invited personally by the man who set up the concert series. The Utah Symphony will be accompanying, well we are accompanying them really. They are the real stars!
It's Emily's birthday today! She is 21. I just think she's great, and I love the Skalla's lots! Emily is lucky to be married to such a great guy, but even more important Taylor is the luckiest man ever to have such a fun, gorgeous wife like Emily! Happy Birthday Emily!

I've been thinking a lot lately about where I want to be going in the next couple years. There are a few important things I want to accomplish.

The first is getting married. In my mind, I know I need to have two things:

A beautiful temple, like the Manti Temple-

And a man who loves me unconditionally, for all time-

I am grateful to know that a marriage takes work. I look at my dear friends who are married, and see how much work it really is. I also have seen many failed marriages. It has been a big part of my life with my own parents being divorced. I have learned so much from the mistakes that were made in these said marriages. I have grown to know that my marriage will last because I will do everything to make it that way. It's important it is in the temple. I can be with the man of my dreams for eternity, forever. What a blessing to know this!

The second thing I know I want is to go up to the University of Utah. I want to get my music degree and graduate! I have put off school far too long. I love it here at Snow, and now that I'll practically be caught up, I need to move forward.

Graduating from college is a huge accomplishment, and I regret not staying with school the past couple of years. I would be graduating in May if I had. That's hard to think about, but I know I can make up for lost time. I will get a degree.
I am so blessed! I'm on the path that will get me where I need to go. I have amazing friends and family who love me, and I am in most of their debt, literally. Their actions will NEVER go unappreciated.

I'm 22!! Good for me.

Everyone got together for a little surprise party. We had cake and went on a scavenger hunt. We also played games. The girls won the couch game 5 rounds in a row...the boys gave up pretty quickly. ("Alex is a girl!!!")

After we went to sushi at Shogun's. Will and Hailey met us there as well as my dear best friend Zazzy. I am so glad they all came. Everyone seemed to have a way good time. I know I did!

Zazzy:

China Town...just kidding. Shogun's:
